Airframe Assemblies Progress Gallery

Here, we will be documenting the progress of RB396’s rebuild, The rear fuselage is currently with Airframe Assemblies (AA) on the Isle of Wight. It has been a long time coming, and it still has a long way to go, however, the airworthy rebuild of likely the first Hawker Typhoon to return to flight, powered by a Napier Sabre since WWII is underway. We aim to upload new photos as regularly as we receive them from AA. Please keep checking back to see them.

This rebuild can only progress thanks to the generous donations from supporters. Without members of the Supporters’ Club, donations, and merchandise purchases the project would not be at this stage. We are far from fully funded, and without further donations, this work will take much longer than we hope. If you can support in any way and/or would like to join the Supporters’ Club, for whom special visits are already being arranged to go and see the work in progress, then please either visit the Donate section of our website or the Supporters’ Club section.
