The summer of 1940 was one of the deciding moments in the history of the UK and arguably of the world. The aerial attacks on the South of England, designed to gain air superiority, were the first step in a plan to launch a seaborne invasion. This book by one of our supporters takes a broader prospective on Britain’s “Finest hour”, giving credit to less well known British anti-invasion measures. Over 57 pages the author examines 25 objects which were instrumental in preventing the invasion.
