It is with a great deal of regret and deep sadness that we must pass on the news we received earlier today, that Frank Johnson passed away peacefully in the early hours of Sunday morning. It was reported to us that Frank had suffered a number of falls, but passed away peacefully as a result of some injuries sustained. Frank was a private man and has requested a private funeral.
As Supporters and followers of the project will know, we had hoped to try to bring Frank over to the UK, as soon as possible, in order to be reunited with “his” aircraft. We are all upset that this cannot now happen, but at this time our thoughts are with his family and friends.
We would like to construct a book of condolences that we can send to the family, and so would like to invite anyone with a message for the family and/or Frank to please email using the contact form on the website, or to [email protected] where we will collect all the messages into a document and deliver this to the family.
