Support us

The Hawker Typhoon Preservation Group exists to raise the funds required to oversee the rebuild and return to flight of the sole surviving combat veteran Hawker Typhoon MkIb, RB396. The overall budget is approximately £5 million and in excess of £1million has been raised since the formation of the charity in 2016. On 1st April 2020, the 75th anniversary of RB396’s final flight, a new Platinum tier was launched. The formation of this package has allowed supporters to take the next step by contributing at a higher level which has enabled the rebuild to accelerate, whilst breaking down the estimated remaining budget into manageable amounts. In 2021 the “Supporters’ Club” was rebranded; there are now five tiers of support: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. These support packages offer a level of support for all budgets, with tailored rewards specific to each tier. There are 1,000 namespaces available on RB396 and these are allocated as rewards at the Platinum and Diamond levels.

By supporting the project through these tiers, you will allow the rebuild of the RB396 to be progressed. In turn, you will receive exclusive benefits as a most grateful thank you. You will become an enabler of the most exciting warbird restoration project in the UK and even the world.

All tiers are eligible for Gift Aid.

More ways to support us

You can help us return RB396 to its rightful place in the following ways.

Make a donation

The cost of rebuilding RB396 and the engines to power it will be significant and be in the region of £5 million. This may sound like a daunting figure but we take our inspiration from the story of this amazing aircraft and the men who flew it. Being a charity, we can also claim ‘Gift Aid’ from the Government (an extra 25% on your donation) – this all goes a long way to help. With every donation, no matter how large or small RB gets closer to being back in the skies. If every one of our followers and supporters on Social Media were to donate just £2 every month, then that would see the £5 million target exceeded in just over 4 years – something to think about.
